MFP: TRYING WEIGHT WATCHERS OUT

Hey All!

I decided after following Runs for Cookies and seeing her accomplishments, I would try Weight Watchers myself. While it may be just another app for some, it really helps put into perspective the amount of food I am consuming and keeps me on a good track.

While I have heard the default number for most when the first start is 26, my PointsPlus was at like 40 additional points for the week, which I lowered after finding it was too easy to cheat and use those points. I've kept the daily points at 26 and am striving to stick within my range if I plan to lose some weight.

As you can see I'm still trying to get the hang of eating smaller, healthier portions. Because I am addicted to Mexican food, and we go about 1-2 times a week {Chuy's or Lupe Tortilla}, I am negative for my Daily points and my extra PointsPlus continually!

I have been doing spin @ 24 hour fitness with one of the ladies from my old office and it's awesome!

I burn anywhere from 500-750 calories per session! I've been trying to go 4-5 times a week, which seems to be working with my new schedule. I need to get a little more motivated and get a run in before class, but I've been being super lazy these past couple of weeks since starting my new job that I wake up for @ 4:30am.

I sent my watch to Polar for service and since getting it back, the calorie burn is much less than it once was before. I used my AMEX points and found a different one online, so once that one arrives I test it out and see if my Polar was right or was f***ed up all along. Stay tuned for an update on that.

I found an amazing new bib and medal holder from StrutYourStuffSignCo. on Etsy:

Cannot wait to get it!!!! This lady has some amazing signs...go check her out! I'll have to sign up for more runs just to add more bibs and medals now! LOL. :-D

In other awesome news, the builder called last week and told us the original granite we picked out wasn't big enough for our island, so we would need to go pick something else out. I was pissed at first as we spent hours upon hours at the Design Center to only now have to go re-pick our choices. We hadn't had the opportunity to go to a stone place and pick out our slabs originally, so it turned out to be a great thing in the end.

I found another granite piece that I loved even more then our original choice so it was perfect! No charge by the builder either...I think they knew just how upset we were over the whole debacle so they took care of it. David Weekley Rocks all!

Hope everyone is having an awesome week! I'll post more news soon :-) Happy Thursday all!

MFP: THE MIRROR MISCONCEPTION DISORDER :-/

Hey All,

I realized a while ago, but have been ignoring it, I think. We all have all faced this at one point in time, I'm sure, but I'm finally ready to admit it. I have MIRROR MISCONCEPTION!

When I look at myself, in the morning after getting ready, I think, "oh this outfit is cute." In my bathroom I only have a half-size mirror so I never really see the full-body image or look long enough to get disappointed with myself.

Yesterday, while at my first spin class, I looked at myself in the mirror, {which was hardly avoidable since they are everywhere} and was shocked at what I saw...I am truly a fatty!

Why is it that I "think" I look skinnier than I "actually" am? It seems to be the same with pictures, click {HERE} for a post on when I was hinting at this issue but avoiding it again.

My arms and ass look GIGANTIC in these pictures! What is wrong with how I view myself cause that morning I was thinking I looked skinnier in that outfit than what was really going on!

Why do I wear blind-floders?!?! Why does this not motivate me to get my ass in better shape?!?! Does anyone have any insight into this body misconception issue I have?!?!

On another note, I found this AMAZEFEST new rug! I want to paint the office navy blue and use this awesome rug for under the future desk. I found a 7X10 for $94! Great steal!

Also got my nails done yesterday and I'm loving the new pink! It's so fun and summery!

I tried my first SPIN class yesterday morning and LOVED it :-) It was such a great workout and burned SO many calories. I plan to add in BodyPump or treadmill after the spin class to get some mucho calories burned and to shrink this giant ass I seem to think isn't giant at all! Lol.

I found A Tad Monroe jewelry and have become obsessed! It is SO cute and affordable. They have trunk shows every Tuesday night @ 8pm CST. You have the opportunity to get some great pieces and they ship quickly! I am super excited and cannot wait for what's to come this Tuesday. I think I might start doing 'A TadMonroe Tuesday' post and show off the pieces I purchased. Who doesn't love some new jewelry!

Thanks to SkinnyMeg for posting her latest decor addition on her IG! I just got mine and am ordering the frame as we speak. Cannot wait to get it in so I can start using it! You can order your's over at Sarah's Etsy Shop!

Happy Sunday Fancies! And, St. Patty's Day :-) Don't drink too much!

MFP: BAYOU CITY 5K RUN & HOUSTON RODEO

Hey All,

Where has the time gone?!?! I haven't posted in a week! I am SO glad to say that I officially ended my traveling for work!!!!! Last week's trip to South Carolina was the very last trip I had to make for my company. Thank God. I am SO tired of living out of a suitcase and trying to eat & workout in random places. I am proud to announce I have taken on a new job and can be home much more :-)

Boot-camp ends this week and I'm thinking about FINALLY trying CROSSFIT! I found a place right by the apartment so there can be no excuses. I hear all these conversations that include, PR, snatch {which I think some people might find offensive}, 13.1, AMRAP, GOAT, GORILLA, KB, WO, WOD....and so on...and I want to be included. Lol! I want to take part in the CROSSFIT cult too!

I ran in the Bayou City 10K/5K Run this past weekend. At the finish line was free BEER...and even though I'm not a BEER fan...it tasted SO good after the run!

My arm looks huge! And not in a good way! Fatty Fatty Boom-ba-laddy :-D

I made it to the Rodeo Saturday night for a great concert by The Band Perry and some nasty Rodeo wine!

I had SO much fun that I spent Sunday in bed ALL day feeling like shit! I remember why now I don't miss drinking and stuffing face every weekend.

Tomorrow is Weigh-In Wednesday and I'm probably around the same weight STILL...I guess we'll just have to wait and see! I'm thinking that weighing myself  weekly is ridiculous. Perhaps I should limit it to once a month instead. :-/

I am SO excited about this new swimsuit I just ordered...it is Amazefest!!

Happy Tuesday All! Plan to get into details on my 8-hour diet book I finished last week and give a summarized MsFancyPantsy recap. I'm excited to try it out, It seems super simple.

MFP: MY 1ST GIVEAWAY + LOOKING FOR THE KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL WEIGHT LOSS

Hey All!!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday. And, for those starting the AdvoCare Cleanse over @ SkinnyMeg's and @MamaLaughlin's blog today, good luck!  :-) I'm cheering you all on from Houston, TX.

There has been a new rejuvenation in me lately to get healthier. I think since taking up blogging and having to hold myself accountable. I've rejoined boot-camp, been running more than ever, eating better, doing AdvoCare, weight-training, limiting alcohol and drinking LOTS of water.

What more do I need to do to lose weight?!?! What is the right combination to start seeing dramatic results?!?! We all wonder if it was as simple as an equation, would we still be where we are at today?!?!

During all this time, the one thing I've learned is that it's not an equation...as much as we would like it to be...it's a LIFESTYLE! It's part physical AND it is also part mental. I had to get my mind right before I started this journey or I'd end up right back where I started. The last thing I want to do is keep jumping on and off the healthy train. I was setting myself up for FAILURE by not sticking with it no matter how exhausted I was or what yummy food was before me.

It's SO true!

It's about motivation on Monday's, right! So, in the spirit of motivation, I'm doing a little GIVEAWAY!! If you have never tried SPARK or you're a lover {like me :-)} you've got to get in on this one! AdvoCare has introduced 3 new flavors of SPARK! Who wants to try them?!?!
