MFP: MY 1ST GIVEAWAY + LOOKING FOR THE KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL WEIGHT LOSS

Hey All!!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday. And, for those starting the AdvoCare Cleanse over @ SkinnyMeg's and @MamaLaughlin's blog today, good luck!  :-) I'm cheering you all on from Houston, TX.

There has been a new rejuvenation in me lately to get healthier. I think since taking up blogging and having to hold myself accountable. I've rejoined boot-camp, been running more than ever, eating better, doing AdvoCare, weight-training, limiting alcohol and drinking LOTS of water.

What more do I need to do to lose weight?!?! What is the right combination to start seeing dramatic results?!?! We all wonder if it was as simple as an equation, would we still be where we are at today?!?!

During all this time, the one thing I've learned is that it's not an equation...as much as we would like it to be...it's a LIFESTYLE! It's part physical AND it is also part mental. I had to get my mind right before I started this journey or I'd end up right back where I started. The last thing I want to do is keep jumping on and off the healthy train. I was setting myself up for FAILURE by not sticking with it no matter how exhausted I was or what yummy food was before me.

It's SO true!

It's about motivation on Monday's, right! So, in the spirit of motivation, I'm doing a little GIVEAWAY!! If you have never tried SPARK or you're a lover {like me :-)} you've got to get in on this one! AdvoCare has introduced 3 new flavors of SPARK! Who wants to try them?!?!

This giveaway is from Monday-Friday, 3/4/13-3/8/13 :-) Don't miss out, folks! You must be a follower on this site...if your not click now 'Join This Site' along the right-hand side of the post.

Once I reach 100 followers, I will be doing another Giveaway but this time it will be a 24-Day Challenge kit!! How about them apples.

If your a blogger, new to blogging (like me :-)) or an expert blogger (ooh la la), I want to hear what your keys to a successful healthy weight-loss system are. I've given you mine above, what are yours? What is it that helps you get through the day without giving up.

Happy Monday Fancies!

MFP: BOOT-CAMP PROGRESS + HOUSE UPDATES

Hey All!

Hope everyone has had an amazing week. I myself can say I have had better. :-( Wha Wha Wha....

I went to Denver this past week for work and it threw my whole schedule off, i.e. working out and eating right.

I think I gained back the 4 pounds I lost, and I haven't been motivated to workout. Thursday when I flew home I forced myself to go to boot-camp...it took everything in me to get the energy to exercise.

Pushup into a burpee.

Ropes are the worst...but such a good workout!

Building those arm muscles!
For not having any motivation, I'll take it!
I was glad I pushed myself through the workout...but when I got home Bob was making TACO's! So I mainly burned all my dinner's calories.

House Update:

Coming along!  Took this @ our meeting on 2/8/13

Car Wash Shower sticks out on the left-hand side! Cannot wait to use it!
Friday, It's Friday:

Night out with Friends.
We decided to do a last minute happy hour with some friends on Friday night. I'm addicted to my bradybands now and never do my hair anymore! Lol! Since I am still on my 2-months no drinking for my New Years Resolution, I sipped on some lemon water...hmmmm! Lol. I can honestly say it's nice not being HUNGOVER and waking up refreshed the next morning.

Normally when I drink, I wake up several times throughout the night, I'm dying of thirst from obviously being dehydrated, and then I'm lethargic the ENTIRE next day. No thank you! I am enjoying this nice change from the normal (which sounds horrible to say LOL).

After I woke up, Lola was starring at me, so I asked her if she was wanted to get dressed with mommy! Lol. Don't ask me what I was thinking...I love dressing up my dog in ALL my clothes! She actually doesn't mind it. When I take it off she freaks out and doesn't stop nudging at it! Lola is the BEST dog I've EVER had. She is SO sweet and I cannot wait to have kids and take lots of photos with both my babies all dressed up :-)

Bully with a bull-zer on! Lol :-)

In other fabulous news, I bought this new book from Amazon. I've just started reading it, but mainly it talks about "intermediate fasting" and eating these 8-PowerFoods within an 8-hour period instead of the traditional 3 meals a day and 2 snacks in-between.

I plan to update you all more on my thoughts, progress, and where I take it over the next few weeks. I do have to say one thing, this book has quite a bit of research associated with it and elaborates on laboratory tests in the beginning chapters, which is more than I thought it would go into. I like the science factor thus far and how you can actually see this was tested and researched and not just being thrown out there as another "diet." Call me a nerd or crazy, but it's really interesting!

I also finally received my Jullian Michaels video's! I am trying to mix up my cardio a bit and not just only have running and boot-camp in my fitness schedule.  I hear GREAT things about the 30-Day Shred so I'm super pumped to try it out!

To finish off the week, I went to go see my chicky @Paris Gallery Salon and Spa on Friday for my awesome Shellac Spa Mani! At first I wasn't sure if the pink was going to look ok...but now I am loving it! It looks so pretty with everything I wear and adds just a bit of color to make a pop to the outfit! Love Love!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! I'm headed out to the gym here soon to burn off all the calories I ate at the Wing joint last night! I think I need to be there the rest of the night :-/ At least I'm not HUNGOVER! Yeah!!

See ya Fancies!

MFP: VEGAS BABY!

Had a blast in Vegas this past weekend. Food, shows, gambling, LOTS of wine!

Check out some of the fun in the pics below!

Bob had this tomahawk pork chop...never have I seen anything like this before...lol!

The gorgeous decor of Cesar's Palace:

Monte Carlo has some artful statue's walking up to the entrance:

Fountain in front of Monte Carlo:

The Aria has the best atmosphere as well as amazing SMELL (I can only explain the smell as a soft vanilla floral fragrance pumped into the air...amazing!):

On Sunday we were invited to a Birthday Bash at the Wynn's private cabana poolside. The tab had to be $7,000 minimum...omg! I asked how much for a bottle of wine, they said it would be $495! It was definitely a once in a lifetime event...too rich for my blood.

After the amazing cabana fun we decided to find a place to eat for dinner...as you can see we are just a little tipsy in this picture!

When we first got to the Aria, Bob was a little excited:

We went to Holly Madison's Peepshow on Saturday night...front row seats...Bob was excited about that part! So glad we were able to see Holly before she has her baby. From our seats you could definitely see her baby bump and how she was trying to keep it covered up.

One of my favorite things about Vegas is that you can have roadies while walking around:

Found the Tiffany's store in the Cesar's Shopping Forum area where I was able to try on a $65,000 ring. The sales guy wouldn't let me try on the one I LOVED which was a 5.5 carat ring that cost $500,000:

Stopped for lunch at Wolfgang Pucks and had the best Sangria in the world:

One of the coolest features of our room was when you first walked in the curtains automatically open, the TV turns on to music, and the lights all turn on. The whole room is electronic and can be controlled by a iPad size remote next to the bed...so neat:

Overall the trip was amazing, and I am so glad my Dirty 30 turned out so well!
