MFP: TRYING WEIGHT WATCHERS OUT

Hey All!

I decided after following Runs for Cookies and seeing her accomplishments, I would try Weight Watchers myself. While it may be just another app for some, it really helps put into perspective the amount of food I am consuming and keeps me on a good track.

While I have heard the default number for most when the first start is 26, my PointsPlus was at like 40 additional points for the week, which I lowered after finding it was too easy to cheat and use those points. I've kept the daily points at 26 and am striving to stick within my range if I plan to lose some weight.

As you can see I'm still trying to get the hang of eating smaller, healthier portions. Because I am addicted to Mexican food, and we go about 1-2 times a week {Chuy's or Lupe Tortilla}, I am negative for my Daily points and my extra PointsPlus continually!

I have been doing spin @ 24 hour fitness with one of the ladies from my old office and it's awesome!

I burn anywhere from 500-750 calories per session! I've been trying to go 4-5 times a week, which seems to be working with my new schedule. I need to get a little more motivated and get a run in before class, but I've been being super lazy these past couple of weeks since starting my new job that I wake up for @ 4:30am.

I sent my watch to Polar for service and since getting it back, the calorie burn is much less than it once was before. I used my AMEX points and found a different one online, so once that one arrives I test it out and see if my Polar was right or was f***ed up all along. Stay tuned for an update on that.

I found an amazing new bib and medal holder from StrutYourStuffSignCo. on Etsy:

Cannot wait to get it!!!! This lady has some amazing signs...go check her out! I'll have to sign up for more runs just to add more bibs and medals now! LOL. :-D

In other awesome news, the builder called last week and told us the original granite we picked out wasn't big enough for our island, so we would need to go pick something else out. I was pissed at first as we spent hours upon hours at the Design Center to only now have to go re-pick our choices. We hadn't had the opportunity to go to a stone place and pick out our slabs originally, so it turned out to be a great thing in the end.

I found another granite piece that I loved even more then our original choice so it was perfect! No charge by the builder either...I think they knew just how upset we were over the whole debacle so they took care of it. David Weekley Rocks all!

Hope everyone is having an awesome week! I'll post more news soon :-) Happy Thursday all!
